While driving around town, a person needs to exercise caution as car accidents can happen without a moment’s notice. Concerned that a traffic accident could lead to car damages and injuries, one must attempt to drive safely at all times. However, some accidents are unavoidable. A car accident near a hospital in Illinois leaves four individuals hurt.

The accident took place on a Thursday afternoon. A red Nissan Sentra, a Pace bus and three pedestrians were involved in the traffic accident. The incident took place near Loyola University Medical Center where the car drifted into the oncoming lane and hit the Pace bus. Unfortunately, three pedestrians who were at the crosswalk were struck by the car after it hit the bus.

The car was driven by a 24-year-old male who was treated at the hospital. The five passengers from the bus were checked out at the nearby hospital for safety measures. The three pedestrians were taken to the hospital, where it was noted that two of them suffered serious injuries.

The driver of the car sustained injuries in the collision. However, there is no information available on the driver’s current medical condition. At this time, there have been no citations or charges issued concerning this incident. The Illinois authorities are continuing to investigate the matter.

After the investigation is complete and the at-fault party is revealed, the victims may be able to file personal injury lawsuits. The victims may be granted monetary compensation to cover any medical expenses or to help with their pain and suffering. Any Illinois resident who is involved in a car accident that was caused by someone else’s negligence or recklessness can seek legal assistance.
