Automobile drivers will most likely be spending more time sightseeing around town enjoying the warm weather since spring is here. This is a time of the year when some drivers may not keep their full focus on the road. Unfortunately, some people take the risk of drinking and driving. Regardless of any circumstances, a person must be as careful as possible while driving. A recent car accident in Illinois has left one adult and multiple children injured.
This sad vehicle accident took place on a Monday night. Two cars were involved in the crash. The incident occurred near southwest suburban Lockport. The driver who hit the other vehicle was allegedly driving drunk. There were multiple victims in the second car who were injured by the collision.
The driver of the vehicle that was struck suffered a broken leg. There were multiple children in his vehicle who all sustained minor injuries according to the report. It is unknown if the driver thought to be intoxicated was injured as a result of this accident.
There were no passengers in the alleged drunk driver‘s car. At this time, the individual has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. There is no information regarding the driver’s blood alcohol content. Illinois authorities are continuing to investigate this incident.
When the investigation for this car accident concludes, the victims and their families may have the right to pursue compensation for their pain and suffering. The injured victims could be entitled to monetary damages for many of the medical bills they have become subject to.
