School administrator dies in car accident in Illinois

One can never tell what another driver is going to do while on the road. Therefore, it is important to always be aware of one's surroundings. However, there are many times when even the most careful person will end up in an accident due to the unexpected actions of another motorist. This may have been what occurred in a recent car accident in Illinois.

The accident, which occurred one morning in early September, involved three vehicles. A 57-year-old grade school administrator had been on her way to work when she was driving southbound on the freeway. At the same time, a 60-year-old woman was heading northbound on the freeway and somehow ended up crossing over into oncoming traffic in the southbound lane. Her car crashed into another vehicle being driven by a 31-year-old male.

The collision caused the car of the 31-year-old motorist to crash into the school administrator's vehicle, which was also heading southbound. The school administrator was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at approximately 7 a.m. The driver who had veered into oncoming traffic was transported to a nearby hospital and suffered critical injuries. The 31-year-old motorist had refused medical treatment.

This car accident in Illinois will undoubtedly cause significant consequences for all involved. The deceased school administrator's family will have to deal with the loss of a loved one, while those injured in the collision may be hit with heavy medical bills. Injuries suffered can also cause those injured to not be able to work and earn income for a significant amount of time. However, the family of the decedent, as well as those injured in the crash, may be able to file civil lawsuits against the party believed to be the cause of the injury in order to obtain some monetary reimbursement.
