Car accident in Illinois involves school bus, injures 4 children

Children are the future and should be as protected as much as possible. This is especially important when children are passengers in a vehicle. However, no matter how much parents try to prepare, there may eventually be circumstances that cannot be controlled, which can cause injury to children on the road. This seems to have been the case in a recent car accident in Illinois.

The crash, which involved a car and a school bus, occurred one morning in early December. At least four students suffered injuries as a result of the collision. The injured students were transported immediately to a local hospital in order to treat minor injuries, which included bumps, bruises and neck pain. There were a total of 35 children on the bus at the time of the crash.

Apparently, the driver of the car crashed into the back of the bus on the driver's side close to the rear wheels. The four students who suffered injuries were all passengers seated in the back of the bus at the time of the collision. The driver of the bus, a 62-year-old woman, was also taken to the hospital, while the driver of the car, 56, did not suffer injuries. There had been an advisory for dense fog in effect when the incident occurred.

Whether or not the fog had played a role in causing the crash could make a difference in any future personal injury lawsuits related to the car accident in Illinois. The families of the injured students may be able to sue for monetary reimbursement, which could help pay for any medical costs incurred. Further, the school bus driver may also be able to file a lawsuit against the driver of the car.
